Doug Ascher was born in Minnesota, grew up in South Dakota, and has lived everywhere from California to New Jersey since then. He went to college at Bethel University outside of Minneapolis, where he majored in Financial Accounting. He soon realized, after doing an internship with a sports marketing and advertising firm, that he loved the interaction with people not sitting behind spreadsheets all day. Doug switched career paths and eventually opened his own firm.
During this time, he married a "Texas Girl" who convinced him to move to Houston, he then sold his stake in the company and headed down south. Now, Doug is the Regional Sales Manager for RevLocal, where he works with businesses in the Houston area to develop and implement digital marketing strategies that help get those businesses found and chosen by potential customers that are looking for those types of products and/or services. From the experiences of running his own business for 13 years before joining RevLocal, he understands the importance of beating the competition when it comes to getting potential customers finding and choosing his clients instead of the competitors.
As far as his personal life goes, Doug loves going to country concerts with his wife, running with the dog, and going to church and playing golf on the weekends. He and his wife are also huge Houston Texans fans, and they never miss a game, as they have had season tickets now for 6 years.
