Google provides code-free mobile templates for small businesses

A recent Google study revealed that 61 percent of users are unlikely to return to a company's mobile site if they had trouble accessing it from their phone, Google's blog reports.

The study also found that 40 percent will immediately go to a competitor's site to see if it works better.

Small business owners without coding experience who need a clean, professional-looking landing page for their website can use Google's new Mobilize. The software offers pre-loaded templates, a custom template and a Google Analytics tool that lets owners monitor site traffic. Users who use local search to visit a small business' website following the conversion will be sent directly to the company's mobilized page.

Shiv Kumar, mobile specialist at Google, explains that by the end of 2011, more than half of Americans will own a smartphone. This feature allows for easier navigation in a time when people are using mobile phones on-the-go to find restaurants, shows or products in their areas.

ITProPortal adds that Mobilize will also provide templates for social interaction, ecommerce and lead generation.
