RevSite Updates: Everything You Need to Know

Content Writer: Lauren Snyder Lauren Snyder Content Marketing Coordinator

We talked about our RevSites in a blog a while back, but we thought it was time to give you a refresh and update you on some changes we’ve implemented!

Just as a reminder, a RevSite, often referred to as a microsite, is a locally optimized website used to amplify your digital marketing efforts.

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s talk about some of the changes!

What’s New With RevSites?

Since our last blog, we’ve made quite a few updates with our RevSites to better help you — our clients!

One of the biggest updates our RevSite team has made is implementing JSON-LD Schema into the sites. You may be thinking, what does this mean and why is it important? Let’s break it down.

JSON-LD stands for JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data. Alright, let me break it down some more:

  • JSON is a data-interchange format, making it easy for people to read and write while machines can dissect and generate this information.
  • LD uses the internet to connect related data.

When you combine the two, you get a code snippet that, for example, tells you what zip code belongs to what company.

Still don’t understand? Don’t worry, I'm having a hard time, too! Basically, unstructured data is sent through JSON-LD and comes out as structured data.

What this provides is a better-optimized RevSite so people can find the information they need about your business.

What else is new with RevSites?

This may not be new, per se, but our RevSite team did put a lot of focus on this next part!

With the SEO world shifting and content being more important than ever, our team is constantly making updates to the content on the RevSites.

With most websites, the content is created and isn’t updated frequently. However, with RevSites, our team makes essential updates on an ongoing basis to please Google’s algorithms.

Not only is the content, in general, being monitored and updated, but so are the call-to-actions, coupons and promotions.

What are the benefits of RevSites?

Now that you know about the latest updates, let’s refresh ourselves on the benefits that RevSites offer.

Think of your RevSite as a conversion funnel. Because it is a locally-optimized website, it is created specifically for conversions for your business.

Our team will tailor the site around one conversion, such as a contact form, "call now" button or driving directions. And this will allow your business to increase leads!

Remember, RevSites aren’t created to compete against your website, but rather to enhance it and help your business gain more customers.

With your leads from the RevSite, you and your strategist can track where they came from so you can follow up with potential customers.

The trackability and reporting aspect from the RevSite will allow you to better understand what your customers are looking for, where the leads are coming from and what you can do to get more leads.

Another benefit is the speed of the page! Our RevSite pages load quickly on both desktop and mobile devices, making potential customers more likely to fill out a contact form and stay on the site longer.

Final Thoughts

RevSites can be beneficial to your business! Our team works hard to create these locally-optimized websites to help you receive more leads for your business.
