RevLocal Marketing Refresh: Introducing YouTube Director Onsite

Have you thought about creating a YouTube video ad for your business but don’t know where to start? Well, we have great news for you!

YouTube has recently introduced a new service for businesses called YouTube Director onsite that will work with your video marketing plan to create an effective, 30-second YouTube ad for your business.

In this video, our Digital Media Producer, Dan Flesch, will break down the new YouTube service and explain how you can get started today.

Check out our video below or read on to learn more about the service!

How Does YouTube Director Onsite Work?

First, YouTube will set you up with a filmmaker to learn more about your business's goals and voice through a scheduled phone call. After speaking with the filmmaker, they will collaborate with you to write an effective video script for your ad.

Once the script is written, a filmmaker from YouTube will come to your business to shoot your 30-second video ad. You will have to provide your own actors and your location for the video shoot, but YouTube actually encourages that you do so for the sake of authenticity.

Shortly after, your filmmaker will make edits to the video and send you back the finalized version that will be uploaded to YouTube.

After the video ad is complete, an advertising professional from YouTube will upload the video ad to your YouTube channel and discuss the next steps in building your campaign.

If you work with a digital marketing agency, they can also help. Talk to your agency to find out if they have experience with YouTube Director onsite.

What Makes YouTube Director Onsite Unique?

Because of its simplicity, YouTube's new service is a great way to introduce local businesses to YouTube video ads and help them reach more new customers online at a much lower cost compared to other video services.

And, the best part about YouTube Director onsite is that the service itself is completely free. The only requirement is that your business commits to spending at least 350 dollars on your campaign once the ad is finished.

The service currently spans 170 different cities throughout the United States and has already helped hundreds of small businesses reach new customers online.
