Originally from small town Texas, Amber Odell grew up learning sales from her dad who owned his own independent insurance business.
Amber studied adult and child development and ASL at Lamar University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies in 2010. She did this while raising her two children.
Amber spent the next few years finding the right fit when she landed her first sales job at a local jewelry store in her hometown of Liberty, Texas. This gave started her love of sales. During her time at the jewelry store, Amber went back to school to earn her masters. She received her Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from South University in 2015.
With her new degree, Amber started as a maternity caseworker at an adoption agency where she helped families make forever homes. When her kids needed her home more, she started in her family's legacy industry. She became the 5th generation insurance agent in her family and worked for State Farm where she sold insurance to local Texans for over five years.
Amber is excited to be a part of the RevLocal team where she gets to help businesses just like her dad's business to have an upfront and local presence in the community.
During her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with her two teenagers and her boyfriend. She also enjoys crocheting, board games, movies and exploring new adventures.
