Ken Scott, a digital marketing consultant for RevLocal in Pittsburgh, grew up in Scranton, PA. He came to Pittsburgh to attend the University of Pittsburgh and immediately fell in love with the Steel City.
Ken started his career as a radio personality. But once he realized life inside an 8x10 room, talking to a glass wall, wasn't a great fit for him, he moved into concert promotions. Bitten by the bug of promoting yet loving his radio roots, Ken had a long career in sales and station management. That led him to form his own consulting company serving broadcasters and corporate accounts. He has been a featured speaker at conventions, written for magazines and trained sales teams throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Why RevLocal? After taking a career detour as a General Agent in insurance, Ken yearned to return to media. He knew digital was the only platform growing and searched to find the right spot. RevLocal checked all the boxes—Digital, focused on working with small business, great culture, great tools. It was a slam dunk, and Ken quickly moved into his current role.
Outside of work, Ken loves to cook (really eat) and is a self-proclaimed foodie. Travel and the performing arts also occupy his leisure time. Along with his wife, Cyndee, they enjoy international family life with their daughter, who lives in Italy.
