Facebook has proven to be a popular option for businesses looking to begin or improve their local internet marketing strategies.
However, the social network hasn't proven a simple medium for many businesses, especially as the ways in which owners can use the website to reach consumers continues to expand. With this in mind, Facebook has introduced the Facebook Marketing Classroom, The Drum reports.
The classroom will act as a digital space in which businesses can improve their knowledge about the network and their companies' social media presence, the website explains. As a part of the site, users will be able to access educational materials such as video courses, events and topic-driven worksheets.
Additionally, businesses will be able to learn from their peers. The Facebook Marketing Classroom will also make available video interviews from existing users. These interviews will feature information on how others have been able to use their Facebook Pages to connect to more people and expand their brand presence, The Drum notes.
This week, Facebook also announced that it would be adding the "Want" widget to users' Timeline profiles, giving retailers a direct link to consumers' networks.
