Small businesses not confident with marketing implementation skills

A recent survey conducted by internet marketing consultant Hennerberg Group revealed that many small business owners are ill-informed when it comes to implementation strategies for their websites.

The poll found that 40 percent of respondents believe they need help with local SEO strategies for their websites to increase local search rankings, while 37 percent said they need assistance using Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets.

In addition, 35 percent said they need help with email marketing, and 33 percent were unaware of how to build inbound links to their sites.

"The study reveals that small business owners realize they need small business marketing professional help to get better at marketing their businesses, and they know what they should improve: local search optimization and use of social media," said president Gary Hennerberg. "But most don't know how to make these improvements."
